Wonderful surprise! My husband and I went here cause we did not want to go to the grocery store and we were craving Thai. Ordered the curry puffs and they had a great balance. We ordered the somtum salad spicy and it was amazing!

One of those places you walk away from looking at your bill and head to Burger King completely unsatisfied. Great flavor, Very low grade meat and sparse meat in meat dishes. second time here. Last time for us unless I'm not buying...even then I'll recommend just going to BK .
(2)Ryan M.
I had dinner here after a storm and they were really quick to get the outside tables ready for seating. The miso soup and sashimi dinner was good, and the fried ice cream was exceptional! The pricing was good, and the service was great! I would recommend going despite the marginal reviews!
(4)Cheresa G.
I took my mom and kids to eat dinner. The service was attentive and personalized. She made great suggestions and she was right on. Everyone loved what they got. She made a special drink for me...it was delish! I haven't had spicy eggplant in years because I can't find it. Their version was awesome! I've never had a bad meal. It has always been great.
(5)Meg A.
great service + good food - hard to find = great place to go to out of downtown key west The green veggie curry was awesome! Took us some time to find this place since we walked but it was worth it once we sat down. Super friendly staff and great food with lots of vegetarian options
(4)Chiki A.
I love the sushi here... My favorite the 3 gem roll... I think I have ordered this too many times that today the waitress already knew what I wanted... hehehe!
(4)Adam S.
My partner found this little gem when she was searching for a sushi place in KW. Kinda a little hole in the wall with a odd little bar downstairs but a nice covered patio upstairs overlooking a marina, a great place to dine on sushi. The sushi was pretty good. Fresh and pretty basic. The tom ka soup was so good, best I've ever had. The pina colada was bomb which was quite a surprise to me. Like I said the place is a hole, a bit run down and kinda a mess but I dont care about all that, we had the whole patio to ourselves and the waiter was literally at our beckon call with anything we needed. Make sure to talk to Juan Ton, he is the Mexican/Asian waiter that does an excellent job.
(4)Sue F.
Hard to find but we made it. Ordered spring rolls and got fried egg rolls. That was ok. My wife got the Sashimi and loved it. I was less impressed with the vegetarian Massaman curry. The Thai key lime pie we shared saved the day.
(2)John J.
This is the closest bar/restr. to my house, so I've given them lots of slack. Time to get down to it. The staff is friendly, competent and fast. Sushi is room temp..Duck like jerky...Extensive menu with no explanations..( what the hell did we order ? ) Bar downstairs, restaurant up...Some food good, some like the KC roll, I threw on the trash..Not cheap for a Hail Mary meal.
(2)Jane S.
It was better than we expected and we will eat here again! We had an early dinner, around 4:45 and it was pretty empty, but we received excellent service. We ordered the pad thai, thai island fried rice and sweet and sour chicken stir fry - and all were delicious! We cleaned all our plates :)
(5)David M.
I go to Thai Island probably 3 times a month and it had always been great but my visit this past Monday was not as usual. I had chicken Phai Thai and it left a lot to be desired...it just had no flavor. I am hoping this was just an oversight and a one time deal if not I want be going back after my next visit.
(4)Joyce N.
give the one star to the waiter. The food is the most disgusting thing I ever taste. Taste like sh*t.
(1)Jennifer L.
Delicious! I wanted to order seconds. I will definitely b back and I took a to go menu. If you like Thai food this place will definitely satisfy your palate
(5)Brittany H.
The sashimi (scallop and conch) were room temperature and of medium freshness. My boyfriend's broccoli with oyster sauce and beef was tough although the broccoli and sauce were flavorful--just slightly under cooked. The miso soup is great. The chicken dumplings were soggy and the flavor was basic. The service was medium to good and the view was nice. The waiter accidentally forgot my order, but made up for it by offering a free salmon hand-roll. It was a very mediocre experience. One local gave it an excellent review on Duvall street and it received four stars on here, so naturally we were more than a little disappointed.
(3)Rachel W.
Great thai! I always get the vegetable sweet and sour and theirs was definitely up to standard. Gracious portion and a side of white rice. Our waiter was very nice and quick with everything. The whole family got stir fries and all our plates were spotless after. VERY good. They weren't skimpy with the shrimp. And the sushi was great too. We even got thai donuts to-go for dessert.
(4)Leora B.
The service was amazing, and when I really didn't like my entree they got me something else very quickly and didn't charge for the first meal. Really kind wait staff. I am giving it 4 stars on the service alone.
(4)Matthew K.
The food was just average, but the service was a bit below average. The restaurant overall does not look the cleanest inside and there are floppy tables and rat traps on the outside deck. Go somewhere else for Asian food while in Key West.

Because the manager had the audacity to accuse my less than stellar review on Trip Advisor of being false and having many profiles so I could attack his restaurant (I'm seeing he's done this on many bad reviews now), I'm making sure to repost my review on all my travel apps, and to be fair I'll repost all the other GOOD reviews I've done for the other deserving restaurants: SHORT STORY (details below that): Don't go to Thai Island if you expect courtesy and good portions for your money. But the lobster roll is the bomb. We're done giving this place a chance. The other Thai in town is Thai Life: a stone's throw from this place and has become our favorite: a floating restaurant, food is MUCH better, bigger portions, and the wait staff recognize us every time we walk in and ALWAYS give us local/military discount even on to go orders. DETAILS FOR THOSE WHO WANT IT: So we moved here within walking distance of this place, I was so excited because I love Thai. The Thai place downtown is too expensive ($4 for EXTRA rice with the curry??). Over time, the dishes got smaller and smaller and price bigger and bigger...they stopped giving military/local discount on to go orders (Our whole office used to order at once; I'd think many orders or even individual customers would encourage you to keep offering the discount, when EVERY restaurant in town discounts to locals, what makes this place want me to come back?) Finally talked to the manager about it one day and that was pointless. I pretty much boycotted it until one night my husband said we should eat on the balcony it will be romantic...so we called at 9:25 and asked "we live across the street, if we come over right now would we be the only ones left and would that be ok -- or do you close the doors to go home at 10 pm?" She asked someone in the background who said "as long as you order by 9:45 that will be ok but we are very slow, only 4 tables left"...??" Unbelievable... Every restaurant we've ever called and asked that to has always (especially on a Sat night in Key West????) has always said "no the kitchen stops at 10 but please come on in!"..not Thai Island. So we went next door to our new favorite that night instead. At Thai Island, we feel very unappreciated as locals and military customers compared to everyone else in town. The bathrooms are nasty also, but like someone said those are connected to bar downstairs, but how about both establishments that share it make an effort? The servers are almost always rude with a high turnover rate, we never see the same face and I guess because they're new get our order wrong. P.S. TO MANAGER: I reported on trip advisor my review date of your restaurant was from our last dine in April, not the same night I reviewed Thai Life which we went instead because you discouraged us from coming as I said in my review, not sure why it used the same review date to publish but I wrote both sitting at Thai Life. You said i should keep my review short and effective -- but the other patrons who gave you a bad review you replied they needed to provide details so you can improve. I gave you details and you attacked me? These apps are so you can get constructive criticism, not reply with ridiculous accusations. Maybe your time is better spent making changes to the practices your customers reviewed poorly. The fact you think I took time to create multiple profiles is indescribable...I don't have the time to do that nor the desire but your accusations have caused me to go publish my ONE SAME REVIEW on all my travel apps. And yes, almost EVERY Key West establishment hours us military or local discount. Why would you even question that?? Good luck with your attitude keeping that rat hole open. No wonder you had new servers every time we were there (key word WERE there, never again) We liked Mrs. Navey, I guess she quit? You probably treat your employees like you do customers.
(1)James M.
I called at 9:50pm to place a take out order and they told me no can do. Why say your open till 10pm then? Wasted my time looking at your menu for past half hour trying to decide what to get for a party of 6. Lazy key westers... Got take out from ambrosias instead, great work ethic keep it up...
(1)Mitchell L.
I have to be honest, I have no idea why this place has such good ratings. I ordered for delivery and the food came within 25 minutes. I ordered pad thai and a sushi dinner combo ( I was hungry) The pad thai was a good portion size but just tasted ok. It came with beef that that alright and actually I heated up the rest of it in the microwave the next day and it was better then when I ordered it. The big problem was with the sushi! The sashimi was fine and so was the other deep fried rolls. But I think it was the California roll ? That literally smelled like feet! I tried to have one but I just couldn't. I was really disappointed considering the price of the food. For the prices they charge I expect better quality. Sorry. Just not a fan.
(2)Peter L.
It was a rainy evening in key west and we decided to stay in with the little one. We wanted a good dinner so we headed to yelp and decided to try this place. The curry puffs were good, a nice light curry flavor. For dinner we ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice. It was a huge portion and plenty for two of us. It had a nice Caribbean flavor while still having that Thai food feel. For dessert we got the key lime pie which we didn't like, the coconut milk just added an odd flavor which stifled the yummy tartness of the key lime. Overall it met our needs and we were satisfied with our dinner.

We stopped by this Thai restaurant on the way going back to Miami after couple days vacation in Key West. it was about 11:15am and there's no customers in the restaurant but 3 of us at that time. Fyi, we are 3 Asian girls who have traveled to Bangkok so many times so we know how good Thai food should be and we know what we wanted for our lunch. Long story short, the food was good, but the service was very bad. Thai people are usually good at service, but the manager and the watress here were so rude. The woman who took our order kept pushing us to order more expensive food while we told her we ordered enough for 3 of us. We ordered 3 Thai milk tea, 3 tom yum goong, 1 fried yellow tail fish with 2 extra steam rice. She kept pushing us to order more seafood, then she changed her attitude to us, she showed her grouchy face. The bill was more than 60usd, we put 15% tips. We paid all by cash. When she got the money, she checkec it and said: "thats it?". She even did not say thank you or good bye when we left! Never go back or recommend any friends going there!
(3)Sarah C.
1 star for the variety of the foods here. I am thai and the dishes we ordered were absolutely horrible tasting. Traditional meekrob came out red and tasteless. Green curry did not taste like green curry and the beef was very chewy. Pork larb was filled with straight up chili pepper, probably more than the pork in the dish. I would highly recommend not coming here.
(1)Lanting Z.
My favorite restaurant in Key west! I don't know why are other reviews so mean, but I love this place! The shrimp was great and all of us loved our dishes. After all the America style food, we were craving for some Asian food, and I was so happy we went here. Especially they have my favorite dessert - mango sticky rice! The service was a little bit slow but it was still good. Thank you Thai Island:)

TIME MACHINE BACK IN TIME TO 1 YEAR AGO: (1) okay experience (2) in need of a cleaning (more like a dive bar than a good eatery) (3) very few customers (4) sushi chef rarely on staff (actually left upon arrival because no sushi) (5) stairway entrance smelled musty (6) small portions (7) outside balcony boring and bland TIME WARP TO 6 MONTHS AGO: (1) improved experience (2) cleaner but needs more cleaning still (3) more customers but not busy (4) sushi chef always available (and it's decent) (5) stairway entrance "still" smells musty (6) "still" small portions (7) new chairs on balcony and some plants (not as boring and getting comfy) Plus food is tasty RETURN TO 2011: (1) so improved I am looking for the sign that says "under new ownership" (2) considerably cleaner (3) very busy (20 minute wait for table, granted it was holiday season) (4) sushi was excellent (boobs) (5) no more musty stairway stink (but now can use new carpeting) (6) portions have grown quite a bit (7) balcony full of character now (string lights, table clothes, more plants) OVERALL: Service was good (not great), appetizer was excellent (gyoza pork dumplings), sushi was surprisingly improved (spider roll & golden dragon roll), thai island fried rice entree (just mediocre), crispy duck (good, not great)... a solid 3 1/2 stars (not quite 4 yet but 3 would be unfair) Our last visit was vastly improved, not perfect but well worth the recommendation. They are definitely on their way to being a locals favorite (if they can't improve the main entrees and service mishaps like taking long time to take the bill)
(4)Ravi J.
Good food & friendly servers .. Reduced 1 star due to the location .. It's right above a bar and the people sittings thier were little weird .. We entered the restaurant thinking it's the one on the 1st floor (which eventually happened to be the bar ) .. 2 shabby looking males were drinkin bear and for a minute I thought to leave the place right away but then I got some attention from the bartender, I inquired about the Thai restaurant .. She mentioned its on the 2nd floor .. I was happy that we took that pause in deciding not to leave .. Loved the food .. Had red curry which was too good .. Spicy fried rice was okay but certainly not bad .. Portions of food was good and we couldn't finish our entrees completely .. Surely drop by again .. Good place for vegetarians in the area ..
(4)Benjamin C.
Quick delivery. Massaman was super bland and mild, though I ordered hot. Flavor was not only bland but a little funky. Though the dish was well liked, they substituted peas for corn in "Baby Corn and Mushroom". Summer rolls were okay. Fried Wanton was too heavily breaded for our tastes. Sweet & Sour stir fry was great, aside from the lack of spiciness. We asked for "as spicy as possible". Maybe they ran out of chilies.
(2)Brian D.
The food was really good, and the service was great. We had several sushi rolls and pad thai--the key west roll was awesome! we sat outside which was nice. it seems the inside could maybe use some updating. we also walked here from our resort Parrot Key, a little bit of a hike for some but definitely walkable and good views into the marinas.
(4)Rachel P.
I really want to give this place more than 3 stars because their food was quite good and we got great service. Sadly, there was a clause on their menu stating that some of their food contains MSG. When we asked our server, she said that one of the dishes we ordered does have MSG in it. I was shocked!!! It seemed like an honest answer and she did ask for the MSG to be omitted, but STILL!! Also, their bathrooms were icky.
(3)Tea D.
I go to Thai island anytime I come to key west. This place totally rocks. Great sushi, great view, great Thai food and great price. Whats not to like?
(5)Steven D.
If you happen to be coming from the charter boats and wanted some seafood and did not want to go to Duval Street then this place would be a good choice. Other than that, there are plenty of better restaurants with better food and service throughout the island.
(3)M L.
I had Thai, my buddy had sushi. We were both happy. Actually, I had a delish veggie roll with cream cheese for an appetizer and a perfectly spiced and cooked eggplant and tofu main course with brown rice. We sat on the deck with a pleasing view of the harbor. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The prices were fine.
(4)Kristina N.
The combination fried rice was horrible :( It was soggy, tasteless and fishy. Would not recommend. Sashimi was mediocre and so was the rest of the food. Bad tasting food but nice view.
(2)Lynnessa W.
Cooked perfectly! I ordered the red curry with chicken and brown rice and the crab Rangoon. Everything was super tasty; fresh and spicy just like I was hoping it would be! I asked for the chicken medium and it was exactly how I wanted it. Delivery only took 30 minutes even though they predicted it would be longer. The red curry comes soupy so you can pour it over your rice and ear it the traditional way. This place has far exceeded my expectations, though for the price, I would assume you get as large of a portion as I did. Could feed two people on one serving! So delish and would definitely recommend!
(5)Shwetz M.
The Thai island fried rice was yummy as hell.. i have never had anything like that before. Definitely try it out, its huge in quantity and has a very unique flavor!!! Love it.
(5)Gene D.
Nice staff and good food. They accommodated my large dog also. :) we did not catch any fish though. Grrrr. :p
(4)Charlotte S.
Delicious and great tasting :) I prefer this restaurant over the floating one across the bridge.
(5)Jim C.
Nice casual Thai restaurant in Key West. My daughter is a vegetarian and we had trouble finding veggie offerings in restaurants much less places in Key west to dine. Food was classic, just spicy enough and reasonably priced.
(3)Jerricho M.
Good Sushi & Very polite and friendly servers. I took one star off because of the location. The restaurant is actually right above a bar. When we walked in we had to ask the bar tender how to get to the restaurant. They have nice out door sitting area over looking the channel. I had the Shrimp Tempura and Spider Rolls. The shrimp tempura was amazing loved it. The spider rolls were rapped in sea weed and made to sweet and salty. everyone else in my party said they loved their food and the service was great. I took another star off because of the overall restaurant its self. It seems as if it was more of a Dive Restaurant. I didn't get the warm and fuzzy feeling when I sat down. will I go there again? yes.
(3)Angelina W.
The food was tasty and the views were nice from upstairs. However, the place smelled bad and was dirty. A bug actually ran across the table while I was eating. I couldn't find where it went, then it came back again and the waitress noticed and killed it with a menu. Gross!
(2)David C.
We're at Thai Island all the time. The staff is friendly and I love eating outside on the water. The sushi is top quality and the portions are more than acceptable. If you're up for a tasty not so low calorie drink be sure to get the Thai Iced Tea. Favorite sushi items include the Three Gems Roll and Spider Roll. Finally, when it comes to sushi they're very reasonably priced.
(5)Ashley R.
Yummy Yummy!! Excellent sushi - very fresh sashimi and the rolls were delicious! My husband and I just moved to KW and have tried 3 other sushi places in Key West (that might be all of them) and this one is by far our favorite. The interior decor is not awesome BUT most places that are nice and trendy in KW are incredibly over-priced and Thai Island is not. So I feel like I am actually paying for our meal and not paying for the rent if you know what I mean. We had a very nice meal with very attentive staff - A++++
(5)Nghia N.
The food here is excellent and the service was great. Highly recommend. The price is comparable to the other local restaurant.
(5)Saleh M.
HUGE Portions. Check out the key west lobster sushi roll yum. The Thai food is really good and the fresh fish was prepared perfectly.
(4)Anthony W.
Asian food from unlikely location. Exactly what you're afraid of, this might be good sushi for the Midwest but underwhelming for a coastal town, and disappointing if you have big city standards. Specifically, the tuna sashimi had a coarse texture, not the buttery ones you expect.
(2)SAJJAN S.
REPLY TO DAVID F: Wow..This is so funny.. So there was someone ELSE too in January who had the same bad experience as i did..Bet you must be feeling kinda stupid here..hahahahahaha...I HAVE been to your restaurant (should i upload my bill??), and OK maybe it was not a LAKE but a marina.. duh.. NOTE TO CUSTOMERS REGARDING HIS NOTE TO CUSTOMERS: This guy is too proud to accept his restaurants failings and tries to cover up by acting like a tw*t.. me a competetitor??? u high bro? Looks like u got a lot of time to think about ur conspiracy theories.. I live in Atlanta and came to visit Florida/KW last weekend and just wrote my experience..It would help your cause to stop whining abt reviewers and spend the time improving ur food..
(1)Jodi R.
Great food with huge selection. We had sushi, curry, tempura, pad noodles and edamame and everything was delicious. Great service and reasonable prices. We enjoyed a late night dinner up on the roof...great vacation night!
(5)Paul N.
Great balcony view. You get the view of bridge coming into Key west and the Harbor. Location is a few blocks from the entrance of NAS Trumbo Point. They serve both sushi and Thai food. We got the Dynamite roll and it was very good at a very reasonable price.
(4)Jacqui E.
Had lunch here today and it was very good. We had a Bento box and it was very tasty and filling. Loved sitting outside on the deck overlooking the water and boats. For Key West reasonable prices
(4)Kaushik S.
This place is awesome. The food is great, the service is fantastic, and the views of the tiny marina in front are fabulous if you are able to get a seat in the balcony. We tried different appetizers, entrees and fried bananas for dessert. Everything was excellent. The pineapple fried rice and Thai red curry are something that I enjoyed the most and my mouth waters even now after more than a month of my visit. The place was so good that we ended up going there three times in the three days that we were at Key West. We had the tall good looking dude as our waiter and he was great, as were the couple of others who served us over time. A must visit for a Thai junkie like me if you ever happen to be in Key West.
(5)J W.
Service was good, but the food was medeocure. Nice roofrop deck and plenty of parking, so this would be a good spot for happy hour.
(4)Donald N.
I've worked at the same busy ocean front bar in Key West for a very long time. We see a lot of tourists, and inevitably they will ask me to name my favorite restaurant on the island. And since Thai Island has opened, my response has been the same..."Thai Island". I can tell that its not the answer my guests had hoped for, as most visitors are looking for a great seafood place. But I am being honest with them. I'd rather eat here than anywhere else. This place is owned by a woman who used to cook at another establishment in town. You could always tell when she was in the kitchen because the food always tasted markedly better when she worked. We used to joke with her that she needed to open her own place. Thank GOD she eventually did. For a long time I ordered the same thing every time. Pork Nam Sod salad, Green Chicken Curry, and Mango and Sticky Rice for desert. My girlfriend has forced me to branch out. The Tom Ka Gai soup is great. The Chicken Panang curry is great. Love the Pad See Ew (noodle dish)... ...and nobody makes stir fried rice like this place. If you have never had Thai stir fried rice, let me tell you, it BLOWS away the Chinese style. Its light, and delicious and very flavorful. We also bring in the fish we catch and have them make a curry with it. Much better than taking it to the usual suspects and getting it fried or blackened. Snapper curry is THE BOMB! If you don't catch any fish, they offer snapper curry on the menu. The service has really improved since she opened. But I don't come here for the service. I come here because the food tastes great. So much flavor. It dances on your tongue. Makes me want to travel to Thailand and see this place where all these amazing flavors originated. -What I would like to see is a menu with pictures of each dish. I think it would be a great benefit to guests who might not be familiar with Thai food. *Note: When I come here, I do not order sushi, however, my girlfriend gets it quite often and always likes her meals. I come for the Thai food.
(4)Sunny B.
Great food and beverages. Excellent service and beautful view of Garrison Bight. Try their Summer Rolls appetizer and Asian Pear Martini - fantastic! Highly recommend this place!
(5)David B.
Pad Se Ew was pretty good. Tom Yum Gai was a bit thin, but still a good deal for the price. Be warned, the lemonade is pink and from a mix. Not that great.
(4)The C.
Good for takeout Thai as well. There has got to be an interesting backstory to this place (Euro owner or partner, pan-Asian staff?), but so far we are just customers. The sushi was OK (price versus freshness and selection), but the Thai dishes were pretty good. Location is excellent, but what is with leaving the downstairs in a state of rummage? Deck is great at night, now, with the lights and all. Panang curry had a little kick, Phad Thai was tasty and the shrimp were large, Phad Se-Ew was also tasty although the noodles were already stuck together by the time we got it home. Another time we ate in the small dining area indoors (it was chilly outside if you can believe such a thing of Key West), and the Tom Ka Gai was good but it had a little too much of the lemony flavor (lemon grass or actual lemon??) and less of the galangal flavor than I was used to with that delightful soup, also seemingly less coconut milk than usual. Sushi was good, they focus on rolls a lot, although they also have nigiri and sashimi. About that sushi: If you're going to serve escolar as sushi, it would be kind to explain to people that b/c the fat in escolar is not assimilated by the human body, the diner should limit himself to no more than four pieces in a meal, to avoid side effects (similar side effects to the weight loss pill Allii when taken with fats... ewww). Escolar is also known as "the olestra fish" or "the ex-lax fish." Thanks in advance! Altogether, we were delighted to find Thai Island!
(4)IGallivan T.
Authentic Thai at last! Excellent service and delicious curries! We will be back!
(5)Noe N.
Been back a couple of times so I guess that means we like it! Good sushi and noodles. Dessert? Not so much. But, definitely a good Asian restaurant. Delicious food. A little too pricey. The portions were right. My husband and I shared a vegetable tempura and a noodle dish, which I can't remember. The food is good.
(4)Melissa B.
Updating my review because I still love this place. Ordered delivery, more crispy duck for me. Gentleman who took my order over the phone was great. Handled all my special requests easily. Delivery was quick. Food was fresh and great tasting.
(4)Urvish D.
Must visit for key west... Great food, fantastic service, reasonably priced.. The staff is very friendly and helpful
(5)Mark H.
Great food and friendly service even if it is a little out of the way and off the main drag for Key West. It is the best Thai in Key West but there is still not much Thai to choose from so please don't expect it to be great compared to the mainland.
(3)Takeaguess M.
Great food and very nice servers. Recommended.
(4)Chris H.
As much as I wanted to like Thai Island, with its quirky decor and wonderful rooftop patio, the food was a yawn at best. We had a simple assortment of sushi, stir fry, and tempura. While my kids were busy gobbling the food up, I couldn't help but think how average it was. Pricing wasn't outrageous, but at $16, the Thai stir fry did promise interesting favors that it couldn't deliver on. If we had found just one interesting thing in the meal, I would generally return another time to explore other dishes and see if our first experience was just a fluke. However that wasn't the case this time and given the number of restaurants to explore in KW, we won't be returning for round two.
(2)Pengfei Z.
We saw 4 stars for this restaurant and we tried it. It turned out to be very disappointing. We had the pad Thai, the red curry and the seafood combo. The pad Thai is too sweet and very greasy. The red curry is mediocre and may be over-spicy for some people. The seafood combo is flavorless. I just don't understand how it gets a 4-star review. I would have given a half-star review if I could.
(1)Staley H.
Excellent Thai food. A very pleasant surprise.
(5)Matt M.
Good thai food at a reasonable price. I did not try the sushi. Good service too. The only down side is poor location but they deliver to make up for it.
(5)Mike P.
This is my favorite restaurant on Earth!!!! The best Thai food in America. I have travelled quite a bit, and have not found Thai food yet as good as here. Whenever I go to Key West, this restaurant is first on my list. Chicken Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Chicken Satay, Mango Sticky Rice, and fabulous Iced Tea!! And the owner and staff are wonderful! You have to try this place when in Key West!
(5)Patti M.
Been in Key West 2 weeks ate at 2 different Thai food restaurants. This was great. Had several appetizers, crag Rangoon and dumplings. They were tasty and sauces were good. The waitress was wonderful and attentive. We tried a shrimp chicken pad Thai as well as a beef dish. We also had the mixed fried rice that was wonderful. We have been to Thailand several times over the years for extended times and love Thai food. Sticky rice with mango is my favorite desert. The mango was not quite as ripe as I prefer but it was still very good. Going back again for sure...
(4)Joe W.
So far the BEST Thai Food I have had in Key West..... Honestly not sure I want to even waste my $$$ elsewhere!
(4)Larry G.
Had a very solid meal with my wife and teen aged kids. Excellent pad Thai, respectable curry, terrific crispy duck salad, strong key lime pie. Roger the server was awesome.
(4)Sam G.
Pretty solid Thai place. Got some pad thai, spring rolls and chicken curry. Pad Thai was pretty good, as were spring rolls, curry was meh- soupy. Place is a bit overpriced for portion size or else I would have given it 4 stars.
(3)Ash B.
As a vegetarian in the Bay area, I've frequented some very good Thai restaurants (They are plenty in the bay area and the quality is usually very good.) This one here in Key West would be comprable to the ones I've tasted back home. The waiter was super friendly, the ambience was very nice and the food was delicious. He made sure our food was completely vegetarian as we requested. Both the cashew nut stir fry and the red curry were delicious. If you want Thai food in Key West, here's where you wanna go. They also have a big parking lot which is a relief esp if you've tried to eat at a restaurant in Duval street by driving there.

The best Thai restaurant in Key West so far. The dishes were more flavorful than the dishes at Thai Life, as Thai food should be. They also serve Japanese food, which I found a little odd and was wary about at first. Of course, since I was already there and also love sushi, I tried a few rolls. Not the best sushi I've had, but I was not at all disappointed. I was impressed that they were able to successfully serve two cuisines and they had a good selection of dishes for both! I will definitely come back when I am in the area.

I love this place. I've been here quite a few times. The food is always wonderful , the atmosphere is nice, you can sit inside or outside and I like the fact that it isnt downtown. My servers have always been polite and attentive. Id say the only downside is that its a bit pricey.

This place is pretty good overall. I prefer the sushi over the Thai food, but you can't go wrong with either. I am a fan of the "You're the Best" sushi platter. It is perfect for one person at dinner.

Being vegetarians and living Chicago (where there are an incredible amount of great Thai restaurants) we enjoy Thai at least once a week. When we were in key west last week on vacation we tried Thai island. It was simply sensational. We loved it. Great sauces, fresh vegetables, very friendly, laid back but efficient and gracious service. Would go there weekly if we lived in key west.

We sat outside with the wonderful breeze. Service was quick, prompt and friendly! We loved the spicy hot and sour soup, and the spicy tuna roll. Our friends had the coconut soup and tomYomGuy soup, all were awesome. Broth excellent! My husband and friends had the crispy duck, best we ever had and they lived inThailand. Duck was tender, tasty and crispy! We loved it all and plan on going back before we leave Key West!

We were craving asian food and decided to try this place out. I got the pad see ew and my friend got soup and pad thai. I'm not sure how fresh the shrimp was in the soup and the pad see ew was really sweet. The service was good though.

After a hectic day at the sea to and back from Dry Tortugas, we wanted to go to a Thai place. We picked this place through yelp and were impressed. The lady who took our order was warm and friendly. The food came in due time and tasted great. A nice, cozy restaurant. Check it out!!

Thai nasty. This is some of the worst thai food I've ever had. Massamam and panang curry were super bland. I can make better curry at home, sooo thats pretty bad... Thai life is so much better. If you want thai this is not it.
